ASTM A860 WPHY Reducing Tees Shipped to UAE, Low Sulphur & Low Temperature Impact Certified

Haihao Group has completed inspection and shipment of ASTM A860 WPHY reducing tees for an energy project in the UAE. This order combines two material grades, WPHY 52 and WPHY 65, with sizes 6″×3″ and 4″×2″, all manufactured to ASME B16.9. Each ASTM A860 WPHY reducing tee goes through dedicated heat treatment to lock in mechanical properties, with strict chemical and impact controls for cold service conditions.

The 6″×3″ reducing tee is supplied in both WPHY 52 and WPHY 65 grades, with a consistent wall thickness of 12.70 mm. We also delivered 4″×2″ ASTM A860 WPHY reducing tee in WPHY 65 grade at 11.13 mm wall thickness. All fittings follow ASME B16.9 dimensional rules, which guarantees interchangeability when matched with standard pipe and flanges on site.

One key specification for this batch is the tight sulphur limit below 0.01%. Low sulphur content is critical for these fittings, as it helps minimise cracking risks during fabrication and operation. Every ASTM A860 WPHY reducing tee meets the project’s Charpy impact requirement at -46°C: average 40 J, minimum single value 34 J. This level of toughness makes them suitable for outdoor pipelines that can see sharp temperature drops, even in Middle East field installations.

Many UAE upstream and pipeline packages require WPHY fittings with combined heat treatment, low sulphur and low-temperature impact.
