Requirements for Common Bolts:

As permanent connecting elements, common bolts must adhere to the following requirements:

For general bolt connections, flat washers should be placed under both the bolt head and the nut to increase the pressure-bearing area.

Flat washers should be placed on both sides of the bolt, with no more than 2 on the bolt head side and no more than 1 on the nut side.

Bolts designed to prevent loosening or anchoring bolts should use nuts with anti-loosening devices or spring washers, with the spring washer positioned on the nut side.

Bolts subjected to dynamic loads or critical locations should have spring washers placed on the nut side as per design requirements.

When connecting I-beams or channel steel using an inclined surface, inclined washers should be used to ensure that the supporting surface of the nut and bolt head is perpendicular to the screw.

Classification of Bolt Use Positions:

Based on the application and function of bolts in power distribution lines, they can be classified into three categories: electrical connection, electrical equipment fixation, and iron accessory fixation.

Electrical Connection:

Outdoor primary wiring should use hot-dip galvanized bolts with flat and spring washers. The bolt should protrude 2–3 pitches. One bolt should be paired with two flat washers, one spring washer, and one nut.

Electrical Equipment Fixation:

When connecting transformers or fixing distribution box bases with slotted steel bolts, one bolt should be paired with one nut, one inclined washer, and one flat washer. When using flat steel bolts for fixation, one bolt should be paired with two flat washers, one spring washer, and one nut.

Iron Accessory Fixation:

When the bolt hole in iron accessories is circular, one bolt should be paired with one nut and two flat washers. When the bolt hole is elongated, one bolt should be paired with one nut and two square washers.

Bolt Alignment and Fastening Requirements:

The alignment and fastening of bolts have detailed specifications based on different structures and use cases to ensure secure and safe connections.
