Super duplex stainless 32750 and 32760

Recently one of Singapore customer inquiry some pipes, fittings and flanges, most items material it’s Super Duplex Stainless 32750.We offered the price and got the order as per this material. But when we arrange the production. The customer inform the material need to change to 32760. And ask what’s the difference between these two material. Here I share the difference as below:

Welding equal tee duplex stainless steel S32750

Welding equal tee duplex stainless steel S32750

S32750 and S32760 are both super duplex stainless steels (SDSS). As such, their microstructure is a combination of austenitic and ferritic grains, which imparts the most favourable properties of each. They are based upon a 25% chromium content (25Cr), but differences in their mechanical properties, physical properties and composition are small. The chemical composition of Super Duplex S32750 and Super Duplex S32760 are similar; however, the latter contains slightly more copper and tungsten. The copper content (min.0.5, max 1.0) in UNS S32760 permits excellent resistance to corrosion in many non-oxidizing and mineral acids like hydrochloric and sulfuric acid.

After compared, we suggest they go on proceeding with S32750. This is economic and with good properties too. At last, customer accept our suggestion follow the S32750 material.
