Haihao Group has successfully supplied a batch of Inconel 625 overlay welded concentric reducers to a key customer in Singapore.

The supplied product is a 20″ × 14″ S10 concentric reducing fitting, manufactured in accordance with ANSI/ASME B16.9 and produced using:

• ASTM A234 Grade WPB carbon steel as the base material

• Inconel UNS N06625 (Alloy 625) as corrosion-resistant overlay weld

• Full compliance with NACE MR0175 for sour service applications

The reducers are approved under marine-class requirements, with full EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates, ensuring complete traceability and reliability for critical offshore and energy applications.

Material and Chemical Requirements

To meet the customer’s enhanced sour-service and corrosion-resistant requirements, strict chemical limits were applied during production.

Base Metal (ASTM A234 WPB) Requirements

• Mn ≤ 1.20%

• S ≤ 0.01% (acid-resistant specification)

• P ≤ 0.015%

• Hardness: ≤ 250 HV10

All chemical compositions were verified by spectral analysis, ensuring complete conformity to the project specifications.

Mechanical and Impact Testing

The reducers were subjected to low-temperature impact testing:

• Test temperature: −20°C

• Acceptance values: 27 J (average) / 20 J (minimum single value)

Impact results confirmed that the material retains excellent toughness and performance under low-temperature and offshore operating conditions.

Welding and Overlay Details

The product was manufactured using Inconel 625 welding consumables, with:

• Welding wire material certificates

• Re-inspection reports for weld metal chemistry

• Complete Inconel 625 overlay weld documentation

All welding operations strictly follow qualified WPS/PQR and are performed by certified welders.

Surface Treatment & Finishing

As required by the client:

• Internal surface: Polished

• External surface: Sandblasted

Prior to shipment, the reducers underwent a comprehensive inspection program:
