Petrobras launches bid invitation for FPSO P-86 project
On October 14, Petrobras officially released the bid invitation for the FPSO P-86 project. The final selection of the contractor is expected to be concluded by April 8 next year. However, based on recent bidding timelines, this date may be subject to delays. The FPSO will connect to the Marlim Sul and Marlim Leste oil fields, operating under the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model. In this setup, the winning bidder will be responsible for the construction and initial operation of the vessel before transferring it to Petrobras according to the agreed terms.
Additionally, Petrobras plans to issue tenders for two platforms related to the SEAP project within the next 15 days. Meanwhile, in the Santos Basin pre-salt fields, the oil company anticipates the deployment of the FPSO Almirante Tamandaré at the Búzios field by the end of this year or early 2025. Furthermore, the Mero field’s FPSO Duque de Caxias is also expected to start operations in 2024, although an exact date has not yet been confirmed.
