Haihao Group celebrates the successful naming of cadeler’s NG20000 wind turbine installation vessel
On August 15th, Qidong COSCO Marine Engineering (Qidong COSCO) celebrated the grand naming ceremony of the first NG20000 wind turbine installation vessel, custom-built for Denmark’s Cadeler company. The vessel, named “Wind Peak,” was officially christened by the ship’s godmother, Mrs. Helle Holim. This N1063 project marks the 14th wind power equipment project delivered by Qidong COSCO, further solidifying the company’s leadership in the offshore wind power equipment manufacturing sector and contributing significantly to the global green energy landscape.
The “Wind Peak” project is the first vessel of the NG20000 design, embodying cutting-edge design concepts, advanced manufacturing technologies, and intelligent management systems. Specifically designed to withstand the challenging conditions of deep-sea environments, this vessel is equipped to meet the demands of both current and future offshore wind projects. The construction of subsequent Cadeler wind turbine installation vessels by Qidong COSCO is already underway, showcasing the company’s continued commitment to advancing green energy solutions.
Qidong COSCO Marine Engineering’s success in delivering this groundbreaking vessel aligns with COSCO Marine Engineering’s strategic focus on transforming the new energy industry. By embracing technological innovation and intelligent digital transformation, Qidong COSCO leverages the development opportunities in both domestic and international markets. The company capitalizes on the synergies between its two factory locations in Nantong and Qidong, focusing on offshore clean energy production equipment (such as FPSO/FLNG), offshore vessels (like wind turbine installation vessels and LNG carriers), and upper production modules for offshore clean energy engineering equipment, as well as onshore LNG and chemical plant modules.
In this journey, Haihao Group has been an active participant in the construction of marine pipeline systems, obtaining certifications from leading classification societies such as ABS, DNV, BV, RINA, and RS. The group maintains close cooperation with numerous domestic shipyards, empowering the development of large-scale vessel pipeline systems. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Qidong COSCO Marine Engineering on this remarkable achievement, which represents a significant milestone in green energy development. By integrating global resources, expertise, and talent with its own achievements, Qidong COSCO continues to make rapid strides in the offshore clean energy equipment industry, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the supply chain.
