Tee is a pipe fitting and pipe connector, which is used in the branch pipe of main pipeline. There are two kinds of tee: equal tee and reducing tee. Named because the three ends can be connected to the pipe.

The process of making tee is hot pressing, which is to flatten the tube blank larger than the diameter of tee to the dimension of the diameter of tee, and open a hole in the drawing branch; The tube blank is heated and put into the forming die, and a die for drawing branch pipe is put into the tube blank; Under the effect of pressure, the billet is compressed radially. In the process of radial compression, the metal flows to the branch pipe and forms the branch pipe under the drawing of the die. The whole process is formed by radial contraction of tube blank and stretching of branch pipe. Different from the hydraulic expansion tee, the metal of the hot pressing tee branch is compensated by the radial movement of the tube blank, so it is also called the radial compensation process.

Due to the limited tee after heating, the tonnage of equipment required for material forming is reduced. The hot pressing tee has wide adaptability and is generally suitable for low carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel; Especially for the tee with large diameter and thick pipe wall, this forming process is generally used.
