The world’s first large-tonnage self-propelled FPSO was delivered by Keppel Shipyard
Keppel said in early February that it was delivering a “giant” FPSO to SBM Offshore in the first quarter of 2023 as planned. At the ceremony held by Keppel Shipyard, Arya Ali, the first lady of Guyana Cooperative Republic, named the ship Prosperity FPSO.
FPSO Prosperity is jointly designed by the 708 Institute of China Shipping Group and Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, with a total length of 333 meters, a moulded width of 60 meters, a moulded depth of 33 meters, and a displacement of 460000 tons. The hull part of “Prosperity” was built by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, which started in January 2019 and signed for delivery in August 2020. The biggest feature of “Prosperity” is that it needs to design two thruster compartments at the rear of the engine room separately according to the requirements of navigation ships, and add two 3860 kW main generators and related auxiliary systems, making it the world’s first navigable large-tonnage FPSO.
In recent years, Haihao Group has also frequently received orders related to FPSO. With its excellent product quality, Haihao has been certified by the world’s five major classification societies (ABS, BV, RS, RINA, DNV). After many years of market inspection, Haihao products have been unanimously recognized by the international and domestic markets. If you need pipe fittings for offshore engineering-related projects, Haihao is your trusted partner.
