What is circumferential weld?

Circumferential weld also called girth weld,is the welding of all kinds of circular and circumferential welds, and the weld formed by welding is a closed circumferential weld.

The girth welds are divided into the following categories:

Vertical circumferential seam: The welding seam is all-position welding with vertical seam as the main part, for example, the welding of horizontal pipe fixed joint belongs to vertical circumferential seam. Of course, the welding seam of the rotating weld of the horizontal pipeline belongs to the vertical girth.
