At the beginning of this year, a Saudi Arabian customer’s oil project required a batch of large-diameter carbon steel bends that met B16.49 standards,material according to API 5L Gr.B .The diameter of the elbows was 1219mm, the wall thickness required two specifications: 8.74mm and 9.53mm, and the bending angle was 4 degrees, 7 degrees, and 8 degrees. The total order quantity was nearly 100 pieces. The two parties agreed on a delivery period of three months.

During the manufacturing process, bends are often bent multiple times, and excessive or low temperatures during the process can cause problems in the use of the product. After receiving this order, the technical department of Haihao Group quickly conducted technical discussions and issued a manufacturing plan. After preliminary testing, Haihao successfully manufactured the API 5L GR. B bend required by the customer and passed the relevant quality inspection. Subsequently, we improved the production process and scheduled production for all products.
