Threaded Tee/Screwed Tee

Threaded tee also know as screwed tee,it is a kind of high pressure three-way pipe connection fitting.It has a branch from the main run of the pipe that can change fluid direction.It is formed by round forged steel or ingot processed by lathe and it commonly used in small diameter systems.Based on socket tee form,the branch end can be threaded to male or female.So there are male tee and female tee, which if the tube with male NPT threads, then the tee shall be with female NPT threads.

In the manufacturing process,threaded pipe tee has forging and casing process.Forging is formed by heating forging with ingots or round bars,then turning on a lathe to process threads. Casting means that the ingot is melted and poured into the tee model after it is cooled.We often manufacture forged tee.Threaded tee(screwed tee) has T-shaped or Y-shaped,commonly divided into equal tee and reducing tee.We can supply & manufacture equal tee,reducing tee,straight tee,Y tee.

ANSI ASME B16.11 threaded equal tees

Threaded/screwed equal tee: Three branches of socket weld tee have same diameters.

Threaded/screwed reducing tee: The branch diameter is smaller than main diameter.

Threaded/screwed straight tee: A straight tee means a tee of pipe fitting which the branch outlet has a 90 degree direction turning from the main pipe of the tee.It can be equal tee or reducing tee.

Threaded/screwed lateral tee:  The lateral tee divide two branch pipes:one is same direction with the inflow pipe,the other have a 45 degree angle to inflow pipe.

Threaded/screwed Y-shaped tee: The Y-shaped tee has two branch pipes at a 45 degree angle,and the two branch pipes are symmetrical to the centerline of the inflow pipe which means the two outflow direction are both at 22.5 degree to the inflow direction.
